Here we are back at the super duper cool museum.
It's almost as good as going to Egypt.
How lucky to have these authentic Egyptian artifacts in a museum to study. I have to admit that it is a little hard to think about the fact that these things should have stayed in Egypt in the tombs or palaces or temples or what ever. But I also have to admit that I feel privileged to have them safely preserved so near me that I can visit them anytime I take a road trip to the museum.

The Toledo Museum Of Art owns a real Egyptian mummy and keeps it in a climate controlled vault- securely out of site of visitors. They take it out occasionally to display. We last saw it several years ago. During the visit a few weeks ago when I took these pictures, we asked the curator if they would have the mummy out again soon.He said, "Yes! In February of 2008!"
Yeah...Yippee!! I love to see it.
For those of you not within driving distance, we were also told it will be viewable on line!!
How cool is that?!!

The art is so fascinating to me.
I enjoy this tour each and every time because
I would never be able to afford to go to Egypt and also I hate hot climates.
Two big draw backs, right?!
