Wood

We have been splitting lots of firewood lately. I was lucky enough to get involved with a tree service that needed a place to get rid of their wood. Free wood for winter snuggling in front of a warm fireplace and a good movie.
The neighbors look at me strangely when I am out there running the log splitter and lifting logs. I guess a feminine woman isn't supposed to have fun doing that sort of thing ...maybe I should wear a frilly apron as I do it and really throw them a chance to stare.
 N. is great at helping with the big log splitter and loading the wheel barrow.
We have lots of work to do as they bring the wood faster than we can keep up.
This moment, however, had to be captured as a slow summer day with nothing to worry about.

Jellies

Moon Jellies at our zoo aquarium.
I could watch these all day.
So relaxing and mesmerizing!
What's your favorite nature thing to watch?

Dusty

This is my dusty little secret and I am telling it to only you!
When I need to dust- like when one could legibly read the complete Gettysburg address written in the dust- I do in fact dust... but I also rearrange my stuff for a different decor set up. This is my thrifted tarnished (I like it tarnished and maybe even a little dinged up) silver that different people gave to me as they were going to throw it out...you may remember from this post. I came across this photo I took at the end of our open L-shaped fireplace make the house dusty burning season because I knew it was time to rearrange stuff. But what I didn't realize until I looked at the photos was that it was disgustingly dusty. I think it is just a trick of the camera, yeah that's it, we'll go with that!!
So there you have it...my dusty little secret. Don't tell a soul.

Path...

I have always been intrigued with images of paths. What is at the other end around the bend. Maybe that is a sign that I wish I could predict the future or at least have a hint.

These photos are my own work
done very recently at a beautiful place about which I will tell you more later.

I will soon offer 5x7 prints of these photos in my Etsy shop. I will let you know when they list.

These photo images bring to mind some words to a song I love-
Falling In Love At a Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg.
"I've seen the paths that your eyes wander down
I want to come too"

So, until I tell you more...enjoy the mysterious setting of this beautiful place!
