I took N. to feed the ducks and geese. I still enjoy feeding the feathered friends. It makes me feel like a kid again. This goose is not an ugly duck.
This duck is kind of a strange duck, though not really ugly.
Then along came that duck's friend and he was pretty ugly. I don't mean to be unkind, Mr. Duck, really I don't. You just won't win a beauty contest hands (or webbed feet) down!!
Oh my goodness...then I couldn't believe when that ugly duck was joined by his friend, Mr. Uglier Duck. This duck was so strange and mixed up and, well, ugly!!
Being an ugly duck can have it's drawbacks but also advantages, too!
When you're an ugly duck you get lots of attention and lots of questions directed at you. "You must have an interesting family tree. What did your Mom and Dad look like?", is one of the most frequent questions. You may find you can't translate the answers from "quack" to English.
And since you get a lot of attention and a lot of questions, you usually get lots more yummy stale bread treats than the pretty ducks.
And you may find living the life of an ugly duck means the paparazzi follow you wherever you go!!
Humans like to study your hair-do , er...I mean, feather-do.
