curious

Will people look at our products and think they are weird or fascinating 60 years from now? I got these old bottles and tins from a sale that was truly fascinating! I couldn't help but be intrigued with the old graphics and patinas and the weird and wonderful labels.
In the wonderful category is the "Pynol pine odor" cleaning product from the war years. It says, "Old soldiers never die" and "Woman's Relief Corps". It still has some in the bottle. No!, I didn't open it.
In the wonderful category is the bottle of "Camphor" which says the dosage amount "1 yr=3 drops ......... over 21 yrs =15 drops take with a lump of sugar"!! I has some really awesome half century old crystals growing inside the bottle.

In the weird category is the tin of "Boric Acid" which says on the back label, "Boric acid is safe, non-irritating, soothing, and in solution, a cleansing agent which is beneficially employed in the household for many purposes. As a wash or douche: dissolve one tablespoonful in a pint of warm water. May be freely used as a soothing and cleansing lotion for the eyes, nose, throat, and skin surfaces, or as a cleansing douche."!!!!!!!!!

8 years

It has gone by in the blink of an eye and yet at other times it seems so long ago that he was this little, though little is a loaded term when talking about N. Eight years ago on the 23rd I was meeting baby N. for the first time. He was my c-sec baby, scheduled weeks early for purpose and he was still almost 10 pounds!!

N. is a boy that is full of traditional normal torments for his 2 big sisters and they are full of love for him anyway.

N. is also a smart and curious boy [yep! His nursery was Curious George] who loves to read and learn and explore, he is a great artist [ like his sisters] and he has a firm grasp on dry delivery humor and sarcasm. Last year he was in Chess Club at school and he wants to be in it again this year. Who knows?...maybe some day you will see him on TV playing some championship.

what to do? what to do first?

What's a Mom to do?....when she has gone from a house filled with 3 of her own children +usually 2 or 3 add-on children daily and snacks and drinks on demand and noise non-stop and endless taxi service in the Mom-mobile being the norm through the last 3 months to...
peace and quiet and only herself~~ok ok, and still 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 bird, 3 hamsters, 3 frogs, and 8 bunnies~~but you get the picture.

Well, (deep breath) I have a list about as long as a super size roll of toilet paper.

#1 on the list is: listen to the quiet
