Hourglass Shape

Last summer we took a road trip to the
It was a great place filled with many wonderfully educational and interesting displays. We had gone to a few other stops before arriving at the museum, so unfortunately we arrived about 30 minutes before closing time. We rushed through a tiny bit of it all.
We plan to return again; this time with many more hours ahead of us.

One room was about the history of all things unmentionable! Undergarments for women and the history and progression through Victorian & Edwardian times.
The top photo is of one of the descriptions on the wall about the
dangerous effects of corsets on the woman's anatomy.
Yikes! NO THANK YOU.

If you want to read more about the history of corset wear, this is a good site.
