Happy Memorial Day Weekend !!! I am spending the weekend cleaning the back glassed in porch.
We are in the process of painting the walls red. They were white.
Old indoor/outdoor carpet was pulled up and yukky old adhesive and some carpet backing is stuck on the concrete floor now. Once that is corrected, I plan to paint the floor...either a giant diagonal checkered pattern in some neutral muted color or faux brick --I haven't yet decided which! What do you think?
I found a great "curb-side" wooden porch swing in some one's trash a few weeks ago and I repaired it and bought new chain and painted it red. Now it is good as new and has been hanging on our porch for a few days. Whenever I can't find Anna in the house she is usually out on the swing listening to music or drawing.
I have always wanted a porch swing. I'm so glad now that I took the time to drive around the block 3 times to check out the "curb-side" castoff. Now it is my newest trash to treasure!
