Beach Hopping

Last week we went to two different beaches along Lake Erie.
It was a lot of fun!
I took A., N. and A's life long friend M.
I sat under the cover of the beach umbrella all day wearing 50 SPF sunscreen. Guess who came home with the sun burn!!!! Me! The one NOT out in the direct sun. My skin is wimpy.

We spent most of the day at the public beach in MI.
The kids went swimming in the waves and built sand castles. A thunder storm rolled through while we were there. We took shelter and about 15 minutes later the sun came back out and we hit the beach again. The temperature even dropped a degree or two. We took a bag of Bing cherries to eat on the beach and spit the pits. The seagulls ran after the sweet pits!

This was at State Park. This is N. building a sand castle. We stayed about an hour and a half. They had lots of fun!
On the way home from beach hopping we stopped and picked up a very cheesy pizza and some ice cold Coke. It was a hit with the whole gang.

Amy, What great photos of the kids at the beach! Looks like such a lovely beach too, I though you were in Florida or California..Looks like the kids were having so much fun!
My daughter took the kids to a pool on Monday. She put 30 SPF on them 6 times while they were there and they still all came home with sun burns. Not sure whats going on these days with the sun. We live in Ohio.
I just now see that you have tagged me for "Eight Random Acts".. I'm off to work but will try and post them tomorrow. Thanks!
Have a good day/evening :-} ~Mary~

Hello Amy, Thank You for the visit and the note. I have my mothers letters she had written to cousins. I am a pack rat so no need to worry about me saving things:) Got my hubby to back up things several times, since his mothers comp. crashed and she lost pictures. We went to Michigan last year around Traverse City ( I was born near there) the lakes are beautiful, I wanted to stay:( Love all your Fairy tree things.I will try to find a few pictures if I can.Take care, Mary

Looks like a great time! Yeah! I've lived in several Michigan cities in my life--all so lovely. Of course, I never stray too far from the Great Lakes and now here we live only 8 blocks up the hill from Lake Superior!
Smiles, Karen

I like your layouts! Can you believe I live on Long Island and I haven't been to the beach yet this summer?
Thanks for visiting my blog. Commercials...love 'em or hate 'em, they're a part of life, right?
