Two different stories this time.
1. I don't know these people, I'll bet they were kind and wonderful.
2. I make it all up, no ill will is intended.
May I introduce you to Margaret(left)and Delores(right). Margaret lives on the edge of town and helps with the family's small dairy farm. Delores lives in a house in town. Her Mother has hosted many society tea parties through the years. Margaret and Delores met while working at the local corner Five and Dime drugstore. They want to fall in love with swell guys and have vowed a promise to each other to wed on the same day in a double ceremony.
Please meet Ruby and Virgil. They have only known each other about 3 months. They are on their way to elope. Virgil has a job at the factory making vacuum sweepers. Ruby has never worked. They met when Ruby went, without her parent's consent, to a Road House where Virgil goes on Fridays after work. Ruby's parents don't like Virgil.

What is it about old pictures that make you just sit and think? We have so many in my family, and I love to just look at them and wonder what their lives were like...

Virgil looks like a really bad boy....I probably would have liked him....hahaha
My oldest daughter had a family tree project assigned at the last minute. We don;t live really close to relatives and could not get there for photos. SO we called and got all the information - names dates etc. then "adopted" relative from vintage photos online to complete the project. Roaring laughter as we attempted to match old pictures of strangers to fit in with the real info we had.
The woman's name is actually Ava. She was working as a nurse at the local jail when she met Billy. Billy had been jailed because of making bootleg. When Ava and Billy met it was love at first sight. Ava helped Billy escape from jail and they took off to start a life on the run. Alas, it wasn't meant to be for Ava's car broke down right at the state line.The person who took their photo was the State Policeman who arrested them both and put them in jail.
