Wood

We have been splitting lots of firewood lately. I was lucky enough to get involved with a tree service that needed a place to get rid of their wood. My guy was thrilled. Free wood for the winter. The neighbors look at me strangely when I am out there running the log splitter and lifting big logs. I guess a woman isn't supposed to do that...maybe I should wear a frilly apron as I do it. My guy runs the chain saw. N. is great at helping with the big log splitter and loading the wheel barrow. We have lots of work to do as they bring the wood faster than we can keep up.
This moment, however, had to be captured as a slow summer day with nothing to worry about.

I'm sure when winter rolls around, you'll really appreciate the "sweat" invested.

I love those pictures Amy. They just say "Boy" to me!
I used to live across the street from a cul de sac. I would be in the garage working all day with my scroll saw. All my foo foo neighbors thought I was a little strange. The hubbies liked me though. LOL A girl who can handle power tools. Awesome!
