We have been splitting lots of firewood lately. I was lucky enough to get involved with a tree service that needed a place to get rid of their wood. Free wood for winter snuggling in front of a warm fireplace and a good movie.The neighbors look at me strangely when I am out there running the log splitter and lifting logs. I guess a feminine woman isn't supposed to have fun doing that sort of thing ...maybe I should wear a frilly apron as I do it and really throw them a chance to stare.
N. is great at helping with the big log splitter and loading the wheel barrow.
We have lots of work to do as they bring the wood faster than we can keep up.
This moment, however, had to be captured as a slow summer day with nothing to worry about.

My son has been cutting trees and we are getting free wood also for the winter.....Blessings....Mary

I used to live across the street from a cul de sac. I would be in the garage working all day with my scroll saw. All my foo foo neighbors thought I was a little strange. The hubbies liked me though. LOL A girl who can handle power tools. Awesome!
