Milk Glass and Old Red Books

I put tea light candles inside my milk glass compotes and
vases to give them a warm milky glow.
I really like old cheaply thrifted or found books
and if they have a red cover it is a bonus, in my opinion!!
All milk glass pieces were either inherited, found as cast offs, or thrifted for a dollar or less
('cuz I'm a cheapie when it comes to thrifting!)
My red cupboard was from a neighbor who was happy it was going to a home to be reinvented in its usage and loved. "One man's trash is another woman's treasure!" It has twisted roping wood trim along the top, antique latch (which shows on the fronts of the doors when they're closed), and original paint. I just gave it a good washing.
I made the paper shelf edging out of the stock market reports pages of the local newspaper. I folded it accordian style, cut the scallop edge and punched it with my scrapbooking star punch.

Hi Amy
You have a great collection of milk glass. My daughter collects it as well. I loved your idea of putting the little tea lights inside. It really does give off a milky glow! Over the weekend I hung the valentine garland I won from your giveaway last year. I was looking forward to putting that up :-}

Isn't Circle of Friends great???? I have lent my dvd to my step daughter and I may never see it again! But, awesome movie. I love imitating some of the lines.

I love the look you have in the white milk glass and the red books. I love the color red and what you have put together is so pretty it could be in a magazine cover.
