glue legacy

This is the sad result of not having acid free glue. It does not age well. I am amazed at how many vintage greeting cards have miraculously survived through the decades just fine while others -like this one from 1946-
has been damaged by acid in the glue that was used. When you do your art or card making or scrapbooking keep this lesson in mind. We all hear about the new acid free glues and may not think much about it. But if you want your things to stand the true test of time remember this example. You want your treasures to last long into the decades to come just as wonderful as the day you create them, right?!
There are still parts of this pretty card that you may want to salvage and use...but remember, always use acid free glue!!
